There may be other unforeseen breakage primarily in the handbook portion of the wiki.
The Table Of Contents section of each "PC-BSD® Users Handbook" page may be the best workaround.
Pkgng and pc-metapkgmanager/9.2
(Sorry for the inconvenience)
Beginning in February, 2013, PC-BSD® switched from the traditional FreeBSD ports system to pkgng. All of the PC-BSD® utilities that deal with installing or updating software now use the pkgng system. This allows users to safely install non-PBI software from the command line without that software being deleted by a system upgrade.
PC-BSD® provides a custom command, pc-pkg which is a small wrapper to pkg in order to improve its functionality. When pc-pkg is used with the install or upgrade flags, it will automatically use the integrated aria2 downloader utility, which can significantly reduce download speeds over a slow link.
